How to Deposit On Bamboo

To start investing on Bamboo you will need to first of all make a deposit into your Bamboo account. We have different options and channels you can choose.

Below is how to make a deposit into your Bamboo account.

1. Tap the Account icon in the bottom right of your Bamboo App.
2. Tap Deposit.
3. Tap the Wallet you would like to make a deposit into.
4. Enter the amount you want to deposit and tap the deposit button.
5. Choose your preferred payment option and follow the on-screen instruction.
6. You will receive an email notification once the deposit reflects in your wallet.

Available Funding Options on Bamboo

There are four ways you can fund your Bamboo account

1. Funding via Direct Bank Transfers

This option allows you to transfer from your Naira bank account directly into your Bamboo Naira Wallet.

A unique account number is assigned to Nigerian users once their wallets get activated for this purpose.

This can be used to receive funds into users NGN Wallet from any Nigerian bank via direct bank transfers. 

To locate and copy your unique account number do this, tap Account > Direct Wallet Top-Up.

Please note that this funding option is only available for Nigerian users at the moment. 

2. Funding via Debit or Credit Cards

This option allows you to fund any of your Bamboo wallets via your Credit or Debit Cards.

We accept all MasterCard, VISA and Verve cards as well as your American Express and Discover cards.

This option is available for all bamboo users irrespective of their countries.

3. Funding via Mobile Money

This option allows you to fund any of your Bamboo wallets via your Mobile Money Account.

This funding option is only available for Ghanaian users at the moment.

4. Brokerage Account Funding

This option enables you to fund your brokerage account directly by making a USD wire transfer (via ACH, international wire or domestic wire).

When a wire deposit is made to this account, your Buying Power is credited  with the deposit amount.

Only Bamboo users with active brokerage accounts can use this option.

There is no deposit charge for this option. However, your bank’s transfer charges may apply.

To locate the account details for making a USD wire transfer , tap Account > Brokerage Account Funding.

Kindly note that there is a holding period of 30 days before you can withdraw funds that were deposited via wire transfer. This means that after the deposited funds reflect in your brokerage account, you will not be able to withdraw these funds for 30 days.‍
