Yesterday, we announced the introduction of a $1 minimum commission structure. What this means is that when you buy a stock and the commission fee is less than $1, you will be charged $1.
We understand that this change may result in higher fees for smaller trades and we are deeply sorry about the inconvenience it may cause but we have to implement this to ensure that we are better able to cover the execution costs of even the smallest trades. We also understand that there may be investment positions you currently have that could be affected by this so to protect those positions, we will only implement the minimum commissions on sell trades from July 12th.
